Master Valuator delivers the valuations family law and estate attorneys need on nearly every case — real estate CMAs, business valuations, estate valuations, and QDRO calculations — turned around in days, not weeks. It is a separate company built by the team behind Legal Authority Lab, designed around one standard: the number has to survive opposing counsel, a mediator, and a judge.

— The Litigator’s First Question

How does this get into evidence?

That’s the first thing any litigator asks about a valuation — so here is the answer, up front, before you have to ask it.

A system-generated quick valuation is a working number. Use it to frame settlement talks, test an equalizer, or sanity-check the other side’s figure. No one testifies to it — and no one pretends otherwise.

A CMA or BPO comes with someone who can take the stand: the brokers behind it are also lawyers. And when the case calls for a formal appraisal, we have one lined up at a flat fee.

One more distinction your judge will care about: an appraisal is built on past sales; a CMA reflects market value as of the valuation date. In equitable distribution, that difference can be the whole argument.

— Who’s Behind This

Same rigor. Different company.

Master Valuator is not an LAL product — it is its own company, built to stand on its own, with a direct link from inside the LAL portal for firms that need both.

Master Valuator exists because attorneys handling equitable distribution, contested divorces, and estate matters kept running into the same wall: valuations that take too long, cost too much, or don’t hold up under cross-examination. Real estate CMAs are the entry point — fast, and free, because most firms need one on nearly every case.

From there: business valuations, estate valuations, and QDRO calculations for retirement division. Every report is built to be defensible, not just delivered. Divorce attorneys and estate professionals are the natural referral base — but Master Valuator is open to anyone who needs a valuation done right.

— What Master Valuator Does

Four report types. One standard.

Phase one is live first. The rest follow on the same infrastructure, built for speed without cutting corners on defensibility.

— Why It’s Different

Built by people who know
what a valuation has to survive.

Most valuation shops are fast or thorough. Rarely both. Master Valuator is built to be both, from a team that already understands what happens to a number once it’s in front of a judge.

⚡

Days, not weeks

3–5 day turnaround on complex reports. Real estate CMAs move even faster — built for the pace a live case actually runs at.

🛡️

Defensible by design

Every report is built assuming it will be challenged — because in family law and estate matters, it usually is.

— Questions

Master Valuator, answered directly.

Short answers to the things attorneys actually ask before they order a number.

What is Master Valuator?
Master Valuator is a valuation company for attorneys — real estate CMAs, business valuations, estate valuations, and QDRO calculations — turned around in days, not weeks. It is a separate company from Legal Authority Lab, built by the same team, and designed so every number can survive opposing counsel, a mediator, and a judge.
How does a valuation get into evidence?
A system-generated quick valuation is a working number — no one testifies to it. A CMA or BPO comes with someone who can take the stand: the brokers behind it are also lawyers. And when you need a formal appraisal, we have one lined up at a flat fee.
What is the difference between a CMA and an appraisal?
An appraisal is built on past sales; a CMA reflects market value as of the valuation date. In a divorce or estate matter, that distinction matters to your judge. Master Valuator’s CMAs come from brokers who are also lawyers and can testify, and a formal appraisal is available at a flat fee when the case calls for one.
Is Master Valuator part of Legal Authority Lab?
No — Master Valuator is its own company, built to stand on its own. It comes from the same team behind Legal Authority Lab, and firms already running LAL systems can reach Master Valuator through a direct link inside their LAL portal. You do not need to be an LAL client to use it.
How much does a real estate CMA cost?
The real estate CMA is free. It is the entry point into Master Valuator, because most family law firms need one on nearly every case — the marital home, a rental property, anything at issue in equitable distribution. Business valuations, estate valuations, and QDRO calculations follow on the same infrastructure.
How fast is the turnaround on a valuation?
Complex reports — business valuations, estate valuations, and QDRO calculations — run on a 3–5 day turnaround. Real estate CMAs move even faster. The whole operation is built for the pace a live case actually runs at, without cutting corners on defensibility.
When does Master Valuator launch?
Free real estate CMAs go live first — that phase is in active development now. The full launch, with business valuations, estate valuations, and QDRO calculations, is targeted for September–October 2026. Join the waitlist to be notified the moment CMAs open.
Who is Master Valuator for?
Divorce attorneys handling equitable distribution and estate professionals handling probate and distribution are the natural base — they need defensible valuations constantly. But Master Valuator is open to anyone who needs a valuation done right, fast, by people who understand what the number has to survive.
