Custom Tech Solutions · Included in coaching
The tech that eats your week. Handled by an engineer who is also a lawyer.
Most solo and small firms don’t have an IT department. They have email stuck on a hosting account, a printer that drops off the network, and no real idea whether the files are backed up.
Two of us are lawyers who are not tech people. Henry Wintz, Esq. is. He is a computer engineer, software developer and lawyer, and he handles the hard stuff.
Henry Wintz, Esq. · CTO and Chief Engineer
What we handle
The firm tech underneath everything else. Get this right and your AI paralegal, your case management and your staff all run on solid ground.
Email that belongs to your firm
Moving firm email off GoDaddy or another host into Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, planned so your mail, contacts and calendars come with you.
Internet, Wi-Fi and printers
The connection that drops, the printer nobody can find, the office network that grew one device at a time.
Cybersecurity basics
Multi-factor sign-in, protected devices, and clear rules about who can see which files. Set up by someone who understands why client confidentiality is not optional.
Backups you can actually restore
File backup storage that runs on its own, and a test that proves you can get the files back. A backup nobody has tested is a guess.
Connecting the tools you already pay for
Case management, document storage, intake, billing and your AI paralegal, talking to each other instead of living in ten separate logins.
Custom builds
When nothing off the shelf fits, Henry builds it. You own what he builds. No subscription to us.
How you pay for it
No separate IT contract. It’s part of coaching.
Tech work draws down your prepaid coaching retainer, the same balance you use for training, installs and custom builds. One relationship, one balance, and every request is scoped before any work starts.
Not a coaching client yet? Book a strategy call. Tell us what’s broken, and we’ll tell you honestly what it takes, including when the answer is something you can fix yourself in ten minutes.
Why an engineer who is also a lawyer?
A general IT company can move your email. It won’t know why a misdirected client file is a different kind of problem for a law firm. Henry knows both sides, and he explains the fix in plain English instead of handing you a ticket number.
We are not tech people. One of us is.
Leisa and Cheryl-Dene are practicing attorneys and firm owners who learned this the hard way. Henry is the one who already knew. That combination is the whole point: two lawyers asking the questions, one engineer-lawyer building the answers.
Questions firms ask
Do we have to use your AI systems to get tech help?
No. Plenty of firms start with the email, the security or the backups, before any AI. It’s the right order anyway: solid ground first.
Is this a monthly IT contract?
No. Tech work draws from your prepaid coaching retainer as it happens. No subscription to us, and the scope is confirmed before any work starts.
What if the problem needs someone in the office?
Some hardware problems do. On the strategy call we’ll tell you what can be handled remotely and what can’t, before you spend anything.
Do we have to replace the software we already use?
No. Anything you have that works stays. We fix and connect what’s there, and replace only what’s costing you time or money, when you’re ready.
